Students receive and are required to wear scrubs while on campus. All medical students are required to place a high value on personal appearance, including attire. The reasons for wearing scrubs and proper footwear are rooted in concerns for infection control, communication and campus security. These standards for dress and appearance are necessary to meet the service and safety objectives of placing patient welfare first and the educational objectives of preparing the student to assume the role of a healthcare professional. Good personal hygiene is to be maintained at all times Avoid distracting perfumes or colognes (may precipitate allergies or sensitivities). Cosmetics should be used in moderation.
Upon completion of all of your coursework within the policies and guidelines written in the student handbook, students will graduate and receive a Certificate of Completion from their program of study.
